OMG! i saw 4 of these bloody cars today. two red, one purple and a green one that i got stuck behind going 15mph.

There are quite a few about actually lol that one in sawston looks the same colour

yer there is one that is almost the same colour or is, theres a darker met blue one aswell, like super sonic blue. also theres a guy that lives near me, his name is chris, him and his dad collect old vws, got a couple of old beetles, camper and a awesome camper pickup.

Lewis can explain whats been done.. and not been done... here is my rufff list..(you can edit it lewis! lol)

Whats done so far..

* Wheel bearing FINIALLY sorted, need to buy a new bolt though. Took AGES to drill out.
* Front wings removed, new ones added
* Lights taken out (Need to buy oval ones)
* Brought a iwre cover thingy, so wires can be sorted out
* Inside compleltly removed to look for rust etc
* New battery
* Bonnet taken off, new one added
* Steering sorted, it woudl turn about 3/4 without wheels moving!!!
* New steering wheel

Next... sort out wheel bearing SORT out rust.. ALOT of rust...
welding paint job MOT new interior (i woudl ike dogtooth (black and white) seats, new seat belts, new mirror, and seatbelts for the rear, got wiring to make an epic sound system... Done!!!

I can see atleast 3 panels that dont seem to rusty, whats the fuss about...lol

glad you got them pre 67 wings on there............. bugs just dont look right any other way! hope your good at welding lewis looks like theres enough of the car to practice on! will be great when its done!

bit of an update, got the new hub nut through today, so finished wheel bearing and got her back on the ground.

Also got new US spec headlights to fit with the new wings







Really pleased with them, they will now pass a MOT, just a shame about all the holes in the rest of it lol, tis OK, I'm starting on that next
