Re: my family car, work horse etc
i had a quick wash today, and took some pics, there are still a couple of things that i need to do, to get it to the point where i am happy, but its getting there.
i also re-wrapted my headers, as the old wrap had seen better days.
I added a new act gauge from RB motorsport, it is a dual sensor version, i have got one sensor as a charge temp, and one next to the air filter.
I have got a new K&N filter on the end of my aps induction pipe
hope you like it

Re: my family car, work horse etc
may be if im lucky, but not sure if im gonna be doing 5k+ reves off the line this year, as cant afford a new gear box lol
this is the spec
The 2.1 comprises of your original engine block, removed, stripped, hot chemically cleaned and painted silver. We rebore to the first oversize, using stress plates, and beam stroker hone to fit.
Wiseco forged pistons
K1 forged conrods
We fit a new 2.5 crank
Cosworth engine bearings
Cosworth head gaskets
ARP head studs
RCM oil pump
fully overhaul the heads, surfaced, and valves and seats cut and lapped.
if i had a big enough turbo...
up to 500 bhp/450ft lb no bother at all for the engine

Re: my family car, work horse etc
as some of you knnow, i took the car back to enginetuner, as there was what sounded like a tapping sound.
they looked at it, and it turned out to be the injectors.
as it had a running in map on, at idle the injectors were making the noise.
they mapped it today on the rollers, and are going to take it out on the road for a final road map tweek.
but so far on just v-power they have got 380 bhp and 360 lbft.
if i was to go back to using methanol, i would be looking at least 10-15% increase in bhp and lbft
so will save that until next year i think
also, enginetuner said to me, as they have done the full rebuild and map etc, they will give me a years warrenty on the build. i thought that this was very good, as the most i have seen at other places is 3 months max!
